Henrique Barbosa

H.BARBOSA is a legal boutique founded by Henrique Barbosa after nearly twenty-five years of experience in litigation and corporate law and fifteen years of teaching experience. His professional career has consistently combined practice with solid academic and institutional activities.

Henrique holds a Doctorate in Business Law from USP and is currently the President of IBRADEMP (Brazilian Institute of Business Law). He is also a post-graduate professor at prominent business schools (INSPER, IBMEC, FGV/RJ, PUC/RS, ILMM and Societário Academy), teaching topics such as corporations, corporate litigation, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Henrique has a solid background in Mergers & Acquisitions. He acted as legal advisor in dozens of transactions, involving not only acquisitions and sales of shares, but also fundraising and joint venture agreements, with a total transaction volume over R$2 billion. Henrique also attended prestigious international law and M&A programs at Georgetown and Vanderbilt Law Schools.

In recente years, Henrique has distinguished himself as an arbitrator and has been recognized as a member of several arbitration chambers. He has accumulated significant experience by serving on tribunals with prestigious and renowned professionals. He has recently served as chairman or co-arbitrator in over twenty arbitrations involving a wide range of disputes, including those related to contracts and corporate or financial transactions, such as dissolution of companies, compliance or specific performance of shareholders agreements, shareholders and board/managers liability and M&A disputes (e.g., indemnities/compensation, price adjustments, breach of representations and warranties, non-compete clauses and consortium disputes).
